Location: Addis Ababa , Bole Medhanialem Morning star mall 4th floor Angla Business PLC Head Office

Job Summary

The HR Officer will join the Angla Burger team and support all human resources functions across the company. This role offers an exciting opportunity to assist with recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and compliance. The HR Officer will ensure smooth HR operations, contribute to a positive work culture, and support the growth of the business across all branches in Addis Ababa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Staffing: Assist with the recruitment process by posting job ads, reviewing resumes, conducting initial interviews, and onboarding new hires.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee inquiries and concerns, promote a positive work environment, and help resolve conflicts.
  • Training & Development: Help coordinate training programs to ensure employee growth and development.
  • Performance Management: Assist with performance appraisals and support managers in providing constructive feedback and improvement plans.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Assist in managing payroll, benefits administration, and ensure employees are compensated in line with company policies.
  • Compliance: Ensure HR practices comply with Ethiopian labor laws, company policies, and regulations.
  • HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, update HR documentation, and ensure employee files are up to date.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Prepare and maintain HR reports, track employee data, and provide insights to improve HR operations and employee satisfaction.

About You

Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements: A degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in the hospitality, food service, or similar industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws and HR best practices.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
    • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Familiarity with HR software and systems is a plus.
