Job Description


POSITION SUMMARY

Our company services providing end-to-end design, implementation and operational capabilities in freight forwarding, contract logistics, transportation management & distribution management.

Thus, we looking HR and Administration Officer who works Under the direct supervision of the HR manager support the affairs related to the day to day running of the safezone logistics plc and supporting the company warehouses and is the focal person providing key support on all HR functions and supplying stationery materials. The Human Resource Officer will assist in the human resources activities including recruitment and orientation, personnel files, staff benefits and insurance schemes and payroll.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage employee records, including new hire onboarding, terminations, and updating employee information in the HRMS system.
  • Ensure recruitment activities, such as posting job advertising, scheduling interviews contact candidates, and conducting reference checks.
  • Gather payroll data like attendance and overtime and ensures that payroll functions smoothly.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on HR-related metrics like total number of hires by department
  • Monitor and manage employee time off requests, including sick leave, Annual leave, and other permeation
  • Support on boarding staff members in Administration and HR procedures and exit process.
  • Minute taking in HR related meetings.
  • Administration and Office Management
  • Coordinate and monitor the office operating costs against this budget.
  • Ensure that all office cleaning and general maintenance is carried out
  • Ensure that full office security measures are in place at all times, including procedures for staff and visitors.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other HR-related matters
  • Maintain compliance with local labor laws and regulations
  • Maintain an organized report and send it to HR manager on a weekly basis
  • Ensure that performance evaluations for all staff are conducted on time, and review all evaluations to ensure quality and consistency
  • Follow up on all medical insurance matters for staff including adding and deleting staff to/from the employer’s liability and the medical and hospitalization insurance policy schemes as well as follow up on payments and claims.
  • Managing the store layout and distribute stationery materials to all branches.
  • Other duties and assignments as required.

DEPARTMENT: Administration

REPORTS TO: General Manager

Job Requirements

Education: BA degree in Human Resource Management, Management, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Graduated BA degree and a minimum of 2 years.

Knowledge, Skills, Competence:

  • Freight Forwarding, Logistics /Transportation, industry experience and
  • Knowledge of areas in logistics, transportation and warehousing mandatory is a advantageous.
  • A can-do attitude with the flexibility to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with different personality types;
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point applications;
  • Solution focused with the ability to work quickly, accurately, timeliness, attentions to detail and flexibly in changing circumstance
  • Report writing skills
  • Speaking excellent English language both in written and oral
