Established in 2019 Deborah Foundation is a registered non-profit organization with a mission to improve the lives of children with Down Syndrome and other intellectual disabilities through support in the areas of Health, Education and Policy Advocacy.

Job Summary:

Deborah Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Hospital Administrator to manage both the administrative and clinical aspects of hospital operations. This individual will oversee daily non-clinical functions, including staff attendance and resource management, while also ensuring clinical services are delivered efficiently and in compliance with healthcare standards. The administrator will work closely with medical staff, finance, and human resources to ensure smooth coordination between departments, fostering a patient-centered and efficient hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily non-clinical functions, ensuring smooth workflows in areas such as patient admissions, discharge, and administrative processes. Collaborate with clinical teams to align operations with hospital goals.
  • Coordinate with clinical leaders to ensure quality care delivery, streamline clinical operations, and address resource needs, while supporting patient care standards.
  • Monitor and manage staff attendance, schedules, and absenteeism across clinical and

administrative departments. Work with HR to ensure proper staffing levels and resolve scheduling conflicts.

  • Ensure hospital adherence to healthcare laws, regulations, and accreditation standards, managing compliance in both clinical and non-clinical operations.
  • Enhance patient care workflows by improving administrative support and reducing wait times, ensuring seamless patient transitions and addressing feedback.
  • Manage hospital resources, including equipment and supplies, ensuring both clinical and non-clinical departments are fully supported.
  • Act as a liaison between administrative and clinical teams to improve communication, resolve operational challenges, and lead cross-departmental meetings.
  • Develop emergency preparedness plans and lead hospital operations during crisis situations, ensuring continued patient care.

Salary: 20,000.00 ETB

About You

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field (required).
  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare administration, with experience overseeing both clinical and administrative operations in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Proven experience managing staff attendance, scheduling, and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and coordinating between clinical and administrative departments.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and legal standards
  • Proven ability to oversee clinical operations, ensuring alignment with healthcare standards and improving patient care processes.
  • Experience with staff management, particularly in monitoring attendance and scheduling to meet hospital staffing needs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to solve operational challenges.
  • Proficiency with hospital information systems (HIS) and experience managing hospital-wide administrative processes.
