Notable projects include Wenchi Gebeta Lehager, Chaka Landscape and Greenery, Sheraton Landscape and Greenery Project, Mexico to Sarbet Road Corridor, Adwa 00 Project, and several projects for various embassies.

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Horticulturist to join our Maintenance and follow up team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plant Cultivation and Care: leading the team of Propagating, planting, watering, pruning, and maintaining a variety of plants, including flowers, shrubs, trees, and vegetables.
  • Soil and Plant Health Management: Assessing soil conditions, adding fertilisers, managing pests, and ensuring plant health through disease prevention and treatment methods.
  • Landscape Design and Maintenance: Creating aesthetically pleasing landscapes, arranging plants to maximize growth and visual appeal, and maintaining existing plant arrangements.
  • Research and Experimentation: Conducting studies to develop new plant varieties, improve crop yields, or enhance pest and disease resistance.
  • Sustainable Practices: Promoting eco-friendly techniques, such as composting, organic gardening, and water conservation.
  • Education and Community Engagement: Teaching others about horticulture, giving presentations, and working with brothers team on gardening and conservation projects.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Documenting plant growth, soil conditions, and other relevant data, and reporting findings to stakeholders.
  • Equipment and Resource Management: Using and maintaining gardening tools and machinery, and managing resources like seeds, fertilizers, and other gardening supplies.

About You

  • BA degree in Plant Science, Horticulture or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in related fields.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
