Job Summary

The Green Impact Fund (GIF) Program is to create safe and clean water access, alternative cooking energy and forestry development through community led approach. The objective is to supply clean drinking water and provide improved cook stove as alternative energy source to the target community to mitigate  the recurrent climate change impacts and improve health situation of community, to protect natural resources and in the meantime to engage in carbon credit marketing through promoting the existing adoption model and approaches in the selected geographic areas of both regions as self – standing program.
The position holder is responsible to assist the Green Impact Fund program initiated to undertake in SNNPR and Amhara regions

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Support field level implementation as per agreed quality and standards in order to provide measurable out comes.
• Ensure all protocol of Carbon project, principles, procedures and standards are adhered and applicable as per Gold
  Standard methodologies.
• Follow up project implementation and prepare periodical analytical report using qualitative and quantitative data to
  evaluate the GIF strategy in compliance with Result Based Approach.
• Developing project implementation procedures, frameworks and protocol for smooth and low risk efficient management

Desirable:

•  Understanding the Ethiopian National Determined Contribution and Global Frameworks on carbon market and climate
  finance

Job Requirement

Education Requirements

• BA/BSC or MSc Degree from the recognized college/ University in Economics, Statistics, Natural Resources Management or
  related field of studies

Required Skill and competencies

• Strong interpersonal skill and working in team sprit
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Amharic , English languages and report writing skill
• Proficiency in computer software application

Work Experience

• Extensive understanding of Carbon Project implementation, accreditation and verification
• Working in CDM and Voluntary Carbon Market through Gold Standard Methodology
• Knowledge on software application such as KOBO based data collection and management
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years NGO working experiences is preferable

Terms of Employment: One-year contract and renewable based on the performance
