Job Description


World Vision Ethiopia began its first intervention in Ethiopia in 1971 with relief and opened the Ethiopia office in 1975. Relief, rehabilitation and small community development projects dominated the decade that followed. During the 1984/85 drought, World Vision Ethiopia participated in a massive relief operation that saved the lives of millions of people.

Major Responsibility

  • Facilitate trainings, provide support to GBV Case Workers and other staff (PSS, WGSS facilitators, SRH team) related to case management needs. Eg. mapping and safe referral, what case management is
  • Provide direct technical supervision to GBV case workers – weekly supervision – on the job training and monitoring – field visits.
  • Organization in coordination with PSS focal point and midwife for case discussion
  • Ensure case management services mapping is up to date on their coverage area

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

Education

  • University degree in Psychology, sociology and related social science fields

Required Professional Experience

  • At least 2 years of work experience out of which 1 year in supervisory/managing protection project in emergency context.
  • Experience in leading/coordinating WGFS in emergency project is required.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing emergency response projects.
  • Knowledge and experience in application of international technical guidelines and standards in response projects coordination is preferred.
  • Experience and proved good communication skills, management skills
