Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced and successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services from local to international suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective purchasing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the company’s foreign purchasing activities.
  • Identify potential suppliers and establish relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of purchase agreements, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
  • Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including logistics, finance, and sales teams, to optimize procurement processes and meet business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, assess supplier capabilities, and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback to maintain high standards of quality, reliability, and service.
  • Stay informed about international trade regulations, tariffs, and import/export requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to foreign purchases, including contracts, invoices, and shipping documents.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with currency fluctuations, geopolitical events, and supply chain disruptions.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in foreign purchasing or procurement roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software or ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
