Job Description

Purpose of work:

Monitor and control procurement and logistics operations in accordance with company and national laws and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishing and monitoring and controlling the implementation of a plan and implementation principle for procurement operations based on national and company laws and regulations.
  • Ensuring that purchasing needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Ensuring timely supply by customizing a fixed purchase schedule and process in collaboration with the sales department for items that are purchased frequently and are key to the organization’s sales activities.
  • Approving purchases in collaboration with regional leaders
  • Planning and controlling banking and foreign exchange processes
  • Ensuring that the purchase invoices are paid on time and are recorded in the system
  • Taking improvement measures by evaluating purchasing gaps and complaints so that purchasing processes are carried out in a quality manner
  • Logistics of receiving, consolidating and presenting purchase reports to senior management
  • Planning and managing logistics, transportation, revenue, warehouse and other processes
  • To direct, coordinate and create favorable conditions for the entire purchasing process
  • Managing and strengthening relationships with suppliers, banks, Ethiopian customs office, transitors, Ethiopian sea transport services and others.
  • Taking necessary actions by evaluating complaints and gaps related to logistics and supply chain
  • Receiving, consolidating and presenting logistics reports to senior management

Job Requirements

Qualification

  • BA Degree in Procurement and Supply Management, Business Administration, Business Management or similar fields
    Proven work experience in foreign purchasing and logistics department responsibility or similar position
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics software
  • Superior management and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate and create strong relationships
  • Ability to work in difficult and stressful situations
  • Ability to resolve problems and gaps in a calm, methodical and effective manner
