The Lemmi National Cement S.C. Industrial Complex is is being constructed as a joint venture between Ethiopian East African Holding Company and West China Cement Limited. The factory is being installed in 270 hectares of land with a total first round investment of cost $2.2 billion US dollar at Ensaro district of North Shoa zone, Lemi town.
Apart from cement, the industrial complex will produce glass and gypsum products. When completed it is expected to create a job up to 20,000 employees.
Job Summary
Responsible for safe transportation of Raw Materials from the Quarry Site to Factory Efficient management of transporters and drivers with the objectives of achieving all transport related key performance indicators.
Service Delivery and Transport Management
• Work with the transport/Fleet manager on transport strategy implementation
• Coordinates all transport (Flatbed and bulk trucks) operation activities,
• Work with Transporters’ mangers to ensure daily truck projections and truck availability as required for plants and Quarry Site operations
• Establish work schedules and truck planning procedures for transport operations with the view to ensure right number of trucks is available for operations
• Monitoring transporters performance based on vehicle availability, truck turn around, On-time delivery (OTD)
• Optimization and monitoring of strategy trucks deployment with the view to achieve required truck turn around
• Responsible for preparing and submitting all the related reports in a timely manner.

Requirements

Education & Experience

•  First degree in relevant course
•  A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mining company, cement industry and other Quarry Site transportation management postions

Working Station: Amhara Region, Semen Shoa zone, Enesaro Woreda Lemi Town 130Kms North of Addis Ababa. The company will have its own residential buildings for its employees in 6-12 months’ time. But the employee is expected to have his/her own rental houses for the moment.
