Job Description


Daniel Business Group is a private company with diverse operations, including the production of most popular Pasta and Macaroni brands, including Yab pasta, Mier pasta, and Yamrot Gold. In addition to food production, the company also engages in the distribution of local coal to various customers, primarily serving the needs of cement factories. Moreover one of the companies from the group, Yamrot Food Complex, established in 2000 E.C, is ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management system certified.

Dani Business Group would like to invite qualified and interested applicants for the following vacant position.

Job Title: Fleet Head

Reports to: Managing Director

Department/Service: Logistic/Fleet Management

Main Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision and direction of managing director, Fleet head is responsible for managing a company’s fleet of vehicles, including scheduling and dispatching vehicles, overseeing maintenance and repairs, managing drivers, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining accurate records of all fleet activity.

Responsibilities and Authorities:

  • Schedule and oversee vehicle maintenance (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations, inspections).
  • Manage vehicle repairs, including coordinating with repair shops, obtaining quotes, and approving expenses.
  • Track maintenance costs and prepare reports on vehicle repair expenses.
  • Monitor fuel consumption and identify areas for improvement in fuel efficiency.
  • Manage fuel cards, track fuel expenses, and reconcile fuel invoices.
  • Ensure driver compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Investigate and address driver incidents (accidents, traffic violations).
  • Ensure all vehicles are properly insured especially third parties and licensed.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle insurance and registration.
  • Handle insurance claims and liaise with insurance companies.
  • Implement and manage fleet tracking systems (GPS) to monitor vehicle location, speed, and driving behaviour.
  • Analyze telematics data to identify areas for improvement in fleet efficiency and safety.
  • Monitor fleet expenses and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Prepare reports on fleet operating costs and performance.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.

Place of Assignment: Oromia Region Burayu woreda Tatek Industry Zone

Salary: Negotiable

About You

Minimum Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field with three years of experience in fleet management or a related field.

Competencies Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with fleet management software (e.g., Samsara, Verizon Connect)
  • Knowledge of GPS tracking systems and telematics
  • Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Customer service orientation
  • Identifying areas for improvement in fleet operations and implementing best practices.
