Job Description


The Facility coordinator is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and security of the company’s facilities. This includes managing facility budgets, coordinating with external vendors, and ensuring that all building systems, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems, are in optimal working condition. The Facility Manager ensures that the facility meets regulatory and compliance requirements and supports the overall operational objectives of the organization

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Management:

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all building systems.
  • Oversee repairs and maintenance work to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized

Safety and Security:

  • Ensure that the facility complies with all safety and security regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and drills.
  • Implement and monitor security systems and procedures.

Budget and Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage the facility’s budget.
  • Track and control maintenance and repair expenses.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers.

Space Management:

  • Optimize the use of available space to meet the organization’s needs.
  • Plan and coordinate office relocations and renovations.

Sustainability and Efficiency:

  • Implement energy-saving measures and sustainable practices.
  • Monitor and improve facility efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Staff Supervision:

  • Supervise and provide guidance to the facility maintenance team.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and training for facility staff.

Emergency Preparedness:

  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans.

About You

Expected Specifications and Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications .

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience in managing budgets and financial oversight.
  • Proven experience in managing building systems and maintenance operations.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills. o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and manage vendor contracts. o Proficiency in facility management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
