Job Description


Ethiopian National Association of the Blind (ENAB) is the first Organization for Peoples with disabilities in Ethiopia. Since its establishment, ENAB works more than 64 years for the realization of the right for people with Visual impairments. ENAB is collaborating and networking with many local and international organizations towards this objective. ENAB would like to announce vacant position for Executive Secretary and hire competent applicant.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain the executive’s agenda and assist in planning appointments, board meetings, and conferences.
  • Attend meetings and take minutes to ensure accurate records are kept.
  • Receive and screen phone calls, redirecting them when appropriate.
  • Handle all outgoing and incoming correspondence (e-mails, letters, and packages) efficiently and prioritize all outgoing or incoming correspondence (email, letters, packages etc.)
  • Make travel arrangements for executives, ensuring all logistics are managed smoothly.
  • Handle confidential documents with integrity and ensure they remain secure.
  • Maintain electronic and paper records ensuring information is organized and easily accessible.
  • Maintaining executive’s agenda and assist in planning appointments, board meetings, conferences etc.
  • Monitor and follow up on contracts, means make sure all documents are signed and up updated.
  • Monitor office supplies and negotiate terms with suppliers to ensure the most cost-effective orders
  • Maintain electronic and paper records ensuring information is organized and easily accessible

Location: Head office (Addis Ababa)

 

Salary: Negotiable

About You

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in secretarial science and office management, business administration, management or related field of studies.
  • Four years for diploma and two years for degree proven experience as an executive secretary or in a similar administrative role.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Integrity in handling confidential information is essential.

Skills:

  • Exceptional time-management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
  • Strong multitasking abilities under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
