Job Description


SSGE Trading One Member PLC is a legally registered private company engaged in construction, electrical works ,Export import and general trading. The company is committed to maintaining high environmental, health, and safety standards across all project sites and work environments.

Job Summary

The EHS Officer is responsible for driving the implementation, monitoring and auditing of all health, Safety and Environmental specific Acts and SHE management systems in place. Provide support to the implementing, monitoring and auditing of all health and safety specific Acts and SHE management system in place. this will include activities such as daily SHE incident investigations, Audits, daily SHE induction training etc..,

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  2. Ensure all EHS programs align with organizational goals and objectives.
  3. Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  4. Stay updated on changes in EHS regulations and standards, and implement necessary changes to policies and procedures.
  5. Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and documentation.
  6. Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  7. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  8. Ensures that there is no negative social consequence that arise during the ongoing installation of distribution lines as well as the erection of poles.
  9. Make sure that the wastage during installation of construction lines are disposed of properly so that there won’t be adverse consequence which could lead to harmful and dangerous health concerns for the society living in the area.
  10. Inspect the construction site regularly and prevent potential risks before it occurred
About You

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Health, Environmental Engineering and a related field or equivalent EHS Certificates
  • MS Office user, Excel and Power point
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ) preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards
  • Must have good communication skills, including presentation skills, listening, writing and oral
  • Entrepreneurial skills in terms of innovation and problem solving are key along with tenacity
  • Ability to work well in team environment
  • Shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends as required
