Job Description


Under immediate supervision, Area Programs Manager, Emergency Outreach Team Co-ordinates, the whole operation of outreach team ensuring efficient and quality sexual and reproductive health service (SRH) provision to internally displaced people and host community in accordance with accepted standard medical practice and professional codes of conduct.

He/she is responsible person to liaise with government office and other stakeholders in the intervention area representing MSIERC.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures that the regular planning process is carried out and plans are updated according to the policies and strategies of the organization.
  • Coordinating the implementation of team activities, according to the objectives, actions and time frames outlined in the project timeline.
  • Create strong working partnerships with community-based partners,
  • Supporting community-based partners to develop a clear plan for capacity development and provide relevant support towards realization of that plan.
  • Supporting the development of strong local networks of relevant stakeholders,
  • Ensuring effective coordination skill and develop team sprit among colleagues.
  • Manage the arrangement of necessary logistics for the outreach team(s)
  • Support the team for proper scheduling for the team (s)
  • Hold monthly meetings with the outreach team(s) through available platforms such as telephone calls or in person as appropriate.
  • Assess the security situation on regular basis and provide necessary information to the outreach team(s)
  • Ensure that the planned activities are implemented as per the detailed plan
  • Gather necessary data on monthly basis and provide to supervisor/M&E team at SO on regular basis for reporting.
  • Supervises the outreach team, coach and provide training as needed.
  • Establish mechanism for ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the project activities
  • Support the outreach team(s) to adhere to all MSIE clinical standards during service delivery
  • Carry out stakeholder analysis, identify key stakeholders within the selected community
  • Document and share good practices and lessons learned with staff to support organizational learning.
  • Undertakes any other activities as required by immediate supervisor and/or the technical lead of the Emergency SRH teams

Job Requirements

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • Degree in Nursing or in Public Health with a minimum of four to six years’
  • Direct relevant experience in public health management, coordination, team leading, at health facilities or other settings (woreda, zone, CBO, NGO)
  • Understanding or experience of working in emergency setting.

Duty Station: MSIE: Amhara 1, Tigray 1 & Afar 1

Employment Contract Until December 31, 2021

Salary:  As per MSIE Salary Scale
