Location: Wolaita Sodo and Addis Ababa

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry-out research on the trends pertaining economics in relation to the production and distribution of goods and services
• Analyze reports from research using mathematical models and statistical techniques
• Develop economic procedures and plans which are used in forecasting trends and formulating policies
• Formulate recommendation, plans, and policies which could be used to solve economic problems or issues in the company
• Compile data related to research area like employment, productivity, wages, and distribution
• Establish methodologies and concepts for collecting and processing data using knowledge of available sources of information and econometrics
• Arrange information into report format and for the preparation of graphical establishments of research results
• Make use of available resources to maximize profit
• Provide technical inputs and analyses in the identification, design, development, processing, and evaluation of loan projects
• Develop and transfer knowledge products for capacity building on economic methods and principles
• Work closely with the managers of the companies to know their needs and establish a scale of preference in the process
• Willing to familiarize yourself with the company’s vision and mission, seeking to accomplish set goals and objectives
• Developing feasibility study and business plan development for various Agro-food processing projects with other teams
• Conducting market research and identifying potential clients
• Cultivating strong relationships with new clients, while maintaining existing client relationships
• Stay up to date on company best practices, policies, products, pricing, and promotions
• Increase overall sales efficiency and profitability through excellent salesmanship
• Compile cost analysis information
• Maintain accurate records to ensure smooth start-up for new product production processes
• Ensure products are profitable

JOB REQUIREMENT

Education

• PhD Degree or Master’s Degree in Economics or Finance or related field from recognized University

• Work experience in the value chain analyses or Ethiopian food systems or Agro-processing industry is advantageous
