Oromia Insurance Company S.C is a profit making share company established and licensed by the National Bank of Ethiopia to carry on general Insurance business on 26 January 2009, now OIC transacts all classes of insurance: Non-life Insurance, Life Insurance and Micro Insurance. It commenced operation on 9 February 2009.

Job summary

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Legal Services Director is responsible for providing legal services and guidance to the management and employees of the Company and represent the Company before courts of law, quasi-judicial organs, tribunals, and other adjudicatory bodies in order to safeguard the rights and interests of the Company from emerging legal issues and assist the Company in reviewing, analyzing, and contributing to the drafting and modification of various types of insurance policies, contracts, and other transactional legal documents, as well as the formulation, implementation, and/or amendment of Company policies

Job Requirement

Education: Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized higher learning institution and preferably has a Master of Law (LLM) Degree.

Minimum experience: 10 years’ of relevant work experience, out of which 4 years shall be in a managerial position in legal services area or related.
