Duties & Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

• Be responsible for driving adoption of digital solutions by the commercial team for solutions primarily focused on (but not limited to) P&P Industry and advanced analytics (OPTIX platform) in Eurasia
• Collaborate closely with global digital solution design/development leaders to ensure a strong connection between offering and market need in order to assure differentiation and competitive advantage
• Support commercial teams via customer sales presentations, prepares and delivers training, responds to sales team and customer questions and contributes to content creation (conference papers, media articles, etc) via paper industry expertise and data analytics knowledge. Represents Solenis at key technical events. Keeps current on industry data science, Industrial Iot and Industry 4.0, and AI developments, and updates business partners.
• Participate actively with members of the full Global Digital Solutions Working Group (DSWG) in order to ensure you are fully aware of the complete range of capabilities we offer and new solutions in the development pipeline. This will accelerate overall digital maturity and strength of Solenis and avoid thinking in silos while assuring customers get a consistent best in class digital experience. Must think broadly so we always apply the right digital tool for the job.
• Contribute actively to the digital transformation effort by providing direct market & commercial feedback, observations on trends and competitive efforts in order to strengthen the DSWG and our growing digital solution portfolio.
• Support validation of new digital solutions by working with the commercial team to identify candidate sites and support commercial teams so that they understand what they need to do in order to have a successful validation.
• Elevate awareness of the commercial team and help manage expectations. Ensure they understand which solutions are under validation and which solutions are being/have been launched.
• Support solutions owners who are responsible for working with suppliers in translating product roadmap and customer needs into Scopes of Works (SOW) for digital product development. Review technical solutions developed from SOWs as presented by suppliers.
• Assist in maintaining existing and developing new relationships with third party technology companies to speed the development and/or commercialization of solutions.

The Individual:

Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering, science and engineering, applied sciences or engineering with relevant
• 5 or more years of relevant work experience (project/product management, digital, technology)
• Experience in industrial water and process applications including automation and control, Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) with a focus in Pulp & Paper preferred.
• Experience collaborating with and leading commercial teams (indirectly through influence is fine provided proven skills in influential leadership)
• Demonstrated experience working in a global, matrixed corporate environment
• Developing and deploying digital solutions in manufacturing applications including device level and ML/AI based solutions
• Experience in AI / Machine learning preferred

Knowledge

• Software as a Service Platform solutions for industrial applications
• Industrial Internet of Things general understanding and fluency in common terms and methods
• Familiarity with principles of machine learning & artificial intelligence
• Knowledge and experience in agile methodologies and principles
• Familiarity with data historians (suppliers, data formats, extraction, etc)
• Familiarity with different methods of internet and device connectivity
