Job Description


Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with individuals, groups, and communities to improve employee mental health.
  • Encourage employees to discuss emotions and experiences.
  • Examine issues including substance abuse, aging, bullying, anger management, careers, depression, relationships, self-image, and stress.
  • Help employees define goals, plan action, and gain insight.
  • Refer employees to psychologists and other services when required.
  • Take a holistic (mind and body) approach to mental health care.
  • Create treatment plans that will help the employees move past their problems and towards their goals.
  • Educate employees on the problems they’re facing and help them develop healthier coping methods for dealing with them.
  • Maintain detailed notes to track the progress of employees. Use this information in LTO and Absenteeism Reduction Plans as needed.

Job Requirements

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field
  • A minimum of 2–3 years of experience handling matters in an organization.
