Job Description


Job Objective:

Ensure the legal feasibility of purchasing contracts by devising/reviewing flawless contracts, advising procurement officials and performers and defending the Bank’s interest at the court of law.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design/prepare purchasing and other related contracts;
  • Review contracts, ensure their completeness and cosign with responsible organ;
  • Review amendment to contracts (when needs arise) and ensure all concerned parties have got amended version of the contract documents;
  • Render legal advice and opinion,
  • Represent the Bank before the court of law, other judicial tribunals and organs;
  • Track  legal defects and loopholes and take appropriate corrective measures;
  • Appeal on court decisions made against the Bank (if so required);
  • Work collaboratively with Procurement Department performers;
  • Conduct legal environment assessment to determine legal feasibility/admissibility of contracts;
  • Prepare periodic reports;
  • Perform other related duties given by the supervisor.

Job Requirement

Education : LLB Degree in Law.

Experience:- Minimum of 6 years banking experience, of which 3 years in the area of Law
