Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Communication and Project Officer to lead and manage our communication strategies and project operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in communication, journalism, project management, political science, law, or any relevant field. This role requires a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record in managing communication initiatives and overseeing project management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive communication and advocacy strategies to enhance the organization’s visibility, reputation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate and oversee all communication and advocacy activities, including media relations, social media management, content creation, and public relations efforts.
• Provide strategic advice and support to senior management on communication matters and project management best practices.
• Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government bodies, NGOs, and media organizations.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication and advocacy strategies and project outcomes, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to communication and project management activities.
• Prepare and manage the communication budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

Job Requirement

Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Communication, Journalism, Project Management, International relations, Law, or any other relevant field of study.

Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in advocacy communication, project management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale advocacy communication campaigns and overseeing complex projects.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Experience working in a multicultural environment and with diverse stakeholders is highly desirable
