Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

  • Dispatch food commodities from CRS central warehouse to the respected WV JEOP operational woredas (based on the documents and full information received from Logistics)
  • Oversee and check the overall neatness of the commodities like; free from weevils & infestation, compulsory recording BUBD both on the dispatch & receipt waybills to avoid audit findings. health
  • Advice the assigned drivers to be conscious about the quantities & types upon loading food commodities.
  • Checks whether the necessary forms, documents, source of information etc. are being used properly and regularly.
  • Report regularly to Logistics Coordinator at HO level to update information.
  • Recording of JEOP commodity transactions & proper documentation of the required warehouse documents at each round.

Requirements

Required Professional Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in logistics/commodity/warehouse management and in relief /commodity management preferred.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification.

  • B.A/B.Sc. Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management and any other related field.

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and working understanding on Emergency Food resource management.
  • Experience and knowledge of USAID/BHA funded emergency food assistance projects.
  • Good understanding of humanitarian standards
  • Good knowledge of local context
  • Legible & good Hand writing
  • INGO experience
  • Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment.

Work location: SEPH-Hawassa

Duration of the contract : 2 months of contract with possibility of extension.
