Job Description


Job Summary

Dololo Import and Export PLC is engaged in the export of Ethiopian Coffee and import of different items to the domestic market.

Our company is looking to employ a talented, motivated, and qualified applicant for the position of Coffee Export Manager and will be in charge of buying coffee and fulfilling required procedures from purchase to shipment of commodities to the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, implements, and oversees the company’s coffee export.
  • Oversees the dispatch of export communications, credit collections, and bid requests.
  • Manages product compliance with international standards and requirements.
  • Ensures that shipping details such as export licenses, product routing, shipment, packaging, and customs declarations are adequately coordinated.
  • Directs, leads, directs, supports, and manages the personnel under his/her supervision to ensure that they are suitably motivated and trained to reach all export objectives and carry out their obligations to the needed standards.
  • Identifies coffee market supply and demand.
  • Ensures that LC terms are followed and that export proceeds are received on schedule.
  • Sells export coffee to the worldwide market through reaching out to buyers by email, phone, social media, and in person.
  • Verifies that the terms and conditions provided in the sales contract are correct.
  • Monitors the worldwide market, forecasting and controlling it to capitalize on opportunities and eliminate or prevent dangers.
  • Creates and implements an export strategy for coffee business.
  • Creates and submits activity reports on a regular basis.
  • Reports to the COO and agreeing on a buy plan and ensuring coffee is acquired from ECX and/or non-ECX markets.
  • Verifies and reconciles sale contracts with the related L/C.
  • Builds costs for the purchase of coffee and price negotiations.
  • Monitors and collects payment for every container delivered onboard.
  • Carries out any other necessary tasks assigned to her/him by the CEO.

Job Requirements

Minimum Educational Qualifications

  • B.A, MA/MBA Degree in International Trade/Marketing, Business Administration, Economics and other relevant field studies.
  • Relevant work experience 5 Years for BA and 3 Years for MBA relevant work experience in coffee purchasing and export.
  • Advanced skill in computer, good presentation and report writing Technical and

Other Skills

  • Excellent at communicating with foreign business clients and establishing corporate credibility in the international market.
  • Communicates effectively, and promotes a team approach.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the global coffee export business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Technical and Other Skills

  • Good Knowledge about ECX
  • Ability to provide leadership, communicates effectively and promotes a team approach
  • Able to communicate in English and Amharic efficiently both verbally and in written form. Additional Knowledge other local language is an Advantage.
  • Able to adjust to fast changing business conditions and is always result oriented.
  • Knowledgeable about export administration regulations as well as the international traffic arms regulation.
  • Ability to identify major international clients to generate stable sales and prepare costing to offer prices to customers.
  • Extensive knowledge of custom laws, rules and regulation
