China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) was established in 1979 under the approval of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China. As one of the pioneers performing international contracting and economic cooperation, CCECC has evolved from the earlier Foreign Aid Department of the Ministry of Railways of China into a large-scale state-owned enterprise with Chinese national Super Grade qualification for project contracting. CCECC has been listed among the world’s top 100 international contractors for seventeen consecutive years by the Engineering News Record “ENR”. And in Ethiopia we are working on projects like railway, roads, building and industrial zones etc. Currently we are building 68.77 KM. asphalt concrete road from Dilla city to Bule-Harowachu. For this project we are inviting qualified applicants for the following current vacant position:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing tenders for clients and commercial bids to help bring in new business
• Developing and presenting project proposals
• Meeting with clients to find out their requirements
• Producing plans and estimating budgets and timescales
• Discussing, drafting, reviewing and negotiating the terms of business contracts
• Agreeing budgets and timescales with the clients or Consultants
• Managing construction schedules and budgets
• Dealing with any unexpected costs
• Manage any Claim Issues in Charge of the company
• Attending site meetings to monitor progress
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, site and project managers
• Making sure construction projects meet agreed technical standards
• Liaising with technical and financial staff, sub-contractors, legal teams and the client’s own representatives
• Willing to work on-site and in an office.

Job Requirements

Qualification; At least first degree in Civil Engineering, COTM or related construction fields

Experience; 10 Years’ experience after graduation, 8 years work experience in similar position and 4 years’ experience especially in Claims Expert Position.

Competencies

• Good experience of working culture of the project site or other similar areas.
• Computer literate especially in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, power point)
• Strong Management, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;
• Being able to understand the basics of budget and budget lines.
• Highly organized, efficient, and able to meet key deadlines
• Important Administration skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Highly developed inter-personal skills/inter-cultural sensitivity;
• Competence in IT;
• Ability to work under pressure in harsh environment;

Languages: English fluently spoken and written.
