Job Description


JOB SUMMARY

Under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Corporate and Resources Officer has a responsibility for formulating broad strategies and policies regarding resources, i.e. human resources, financial resources, material resources, information technology, asset formation, etc., and the coordination of these resources in order to create capabilities that will be the sources of competitive advantage for the company.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Education: First degree from recognized higher learning institution and preferably have diploma or advanced diploma in insurance from Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
Experience: A minimum of 12 years’ experience in insurance, of which 4 years shall be in a managerial position in any one or more of core areas of general insurance operations.

Other skills

  • Proven skills in writing reports, correspondences, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles, procedures and practice of insurance operations, accounting and financial records and transactions.
  • Reasonable knowledge of information technology, operation of computers and usage of commonly used software.

Language Requirement

The applicant must have proven proficiency in spoken and written Afan Oromo, Amharic and English Languages.
