Under the general supervision of the department manager and in accordance with laboratory procedures of the company, receives and allocates samples to associate and junior analysts; reviews analysis reports of associate and junioranalysts; undertakes allkinds of chemical testing and analysis and report preparation; coaches

associate and junioranalysts; and participates in training, consulting, research and development activities.

3. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receives samples and allocates to associate and junior analysts for testing and report preparation;
• Undertakes all kindsof chemical testingand analysis andprepares reports on same;
• Coaches and provides technical support to associate and junior analysts;
• Collects, organizes and analyzes test results data and submitsthe draft reportsto the Department Manager or LeadAnalyst for review and approval;
• Reviews and analyses reports of associate and junior analysts and gives recommendations for approval;
• Monitors and supervises analysis of control sample viz. proficiency testing, control charts, blank and spiked samples;
• Manages and operates high tech equipment, including conducting minor maintenance, periodical monitoring and calibration, replacement of components/accessories, mastering the necessary parameters and conducts the necessary readjustment as required;
• Prepares work planand laboratory items with specifications;
• Coordinates and controls the procedure of analysis by preparing monthly duty roster for staff;
• Ensures adherence to Good Laboratory Practice;
• Conducts on thejob training for associate and junior analysts in the unit;
• Prepares periodic reports and statistical analysis of results obtained on product basis;
• Participates in activities promoting and marketing the services of the department;
• Participates in training, consulting, research and development activities of the company; and
• Performs other relatedtasks as assigned by the Department Manager.
