Responsibilities
- The ability to performance the task according to the standard.
- The ability to maintain sufficient supplies of stock for operations.
- The ability to observe guest experience in the restaurant and anticipate their needs.
- To apply the necessary precautions with regards to the lounge food safety and hygiene standards
- The ability to maintain and recognize operation equipment conditions. Take responsibility to sent for repairing and retrieve it back.
- Maintain grooming standard.
- Be punctual to duty.
- The ability to discuss about guest preference and in advance any menu changes or daily specials with staff.
- To attend pre-service daily briefing/meetings at required time.
- The ability to ensure cleanliness, opening & closing duties of staff including efficient performance of assigned side work.
- The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by department management
- To comply with core and culture standards at any given time
- To actively participate in lounge activities
- Assist food planning, preparation and production.
- Adhere to professional standards of food presentation, production and portion control according to Company’s standards and requirements.
- Support the daily operations of the kitchen.
- Assist in stock control of food and beverage items.
- Maintain high standard of food quality, hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- To put into effect team’s cooperation and work towards development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of the quality management system.
- Take initiative to identify areas for improvement and participate in continual improvement activities.
- Undertake other jobs assigned by superior from time to time.
Environment, Health and Safety
- Monitor health and safety policies and ensure that best practices are followed:
- Fire prevention and evacuation
- Handling hazards
- First aid for staff members and guests
- Kitchen safety and security
- Monitor inspections, spot checks to ensure health, safety, are met within standards.
Qualifications
- HACCP certification
- Form 5 or above
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in hotel & catering industry
- Be polite, creative, good communication skills, self-motivated with strong sense of responsibility
- Able to work independently and under pressure
- Have the relevant vocational training council certificate with be given priority
- Have the health supervisor or manager of health treatment certificate is preferred
- Able to read or write in English and Mandarin or other language
- General computer knowledge and operation
- Shift duty is required
- Strong leadership skills, mature, outgoing & guest oriented, good communication skills
- Proactive, enthusiastic, strong sense of responsibility and positive thinking
- Able to work independently and under pressure
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
