Communications and advocacy officer role is to handle the organizational and advocacy communications of the organization and ensure CARDs program successes and events are documents and shared with stakeholders, target group and larger public.

Key Responsibilities

Advocacy

• Lead CARDs advocacy projects, activities and ensure they attain the objective.
• Prepare organizational and project advocacy strategies/guidelines according to CARDs mission and vision.
• Follow different human rights related developments and ensure that CARD conducts active advocacy work on the issues related with its vision and mission.
• Coordinate advocacy efforts with other like-minded organizations.
• Prepare annual advocacy plan and ensure that it is covered on different project and program planning.

Communications

• Ensure CARD program activities are highlighted on CARDs and other communication platforms.
• Manage CARDs social media and its website and ensure professional content management.
• Lead the design of CARDs communication strategy and ensure its implementation.
• Follow every public event and ensure quality of the event and communications materials.
• Prepare report of events and ensure proper documentation.
• Design and implement documentation strategy, encourage program and administrative staff implement it.
• Design internal communication guideline and present it for senior management approval, follow implementation.
• Manage media relations work of CARD.
• Edit final materials of CARD ensure they are up to standard and highest of quality.

Job Requirement

• BA/MA on social science with proven experience on communication and advocacy work At least 4 years proven/related experience.
• Well versed on current and potential areas of advocacy intervention for organizations like CARD.
• Experience on the area of social media management and strong use of digital media platforms for communication.
• Proven practical experience on different advocacy works is a plus.
