KMG-Ethiopia works to improve the social and economic life of women, girls and marginalized groups through integrated development interventions linking economy, society and ecology. KMG is interested to recruit a competent professional for its project on gender equality, SRHR and elimination of FGM in the SNNPRs.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Practical experience in financial project management,
• Effect cash payment as per the approved budget by responsible bodies
• Proper handling of financial documents like cash receipt, check and other payment vouchers
• Manage petty cash, fuel and properties of the organization
• Manage incoming of the monthly bank statement/ account statement for the office
• Effect the payments for specified persons
• Follow legal procedure for cash and cash equivalent payments according organizational procedure
• Collect legal receipts for legal payment
• Effect payments for governments taxes: income taxes, pension, VAT and withholding, for inland office
• Refund and deposit to bank for un-expended balances
• Perform additional tasks as and when required by the supervisor
• Good IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel,
• Follow up the project budget utilization and able to prepare financial report,

Location: Endegagn Wereda(Gurage Zone) Sankura Wereda(Silte Zone) , and Aloti Ulo Wereda (Alaba Zone)

Terms of Employment: One year contract with possibility of extension based on performance

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience

• Minimum of 4 years relevant experience for BA in Accounting or Business management
• Two-year experience as a Project Accountant in Accounting particularly in NGO experience is advantageous and preferable.
• Demonstrated experience in working with diverse stakeholders.
• Practical experience in using accounting software is advantageous
• Willingness to travel to field on a regular basis,
• Willingness to accept assigned tasks & work on own initiative
