About Cloud & Network Services

Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia’s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.

The team you’ll be part of

We are looking for Care Technical Manager for Voice Core Care domain, able to coordinate tasks with local, remote, and external engineers, project managers and customers, on daily basis for one of our esteemed Telco Operator in Ethiopia.

As a member of the Nokia’s Voice Core Care team, you will technically drive maintenance and troubleshooting activities of the Cloud based IMS, SDM, CS Core & Packet Core systems, the core elements of 3G/4G/5G networks, based on telecom specifications and customer requirements.

What you will learn and contribute to

  • Exercise Technical Leadership in maintainence and troubleshooting of the NOKIA’s SBC NTAS CFX HSS HLR OneNDS product based on telecom specifications and customer requirements.
  • Work with remote technical experts to ensure that customer reported issues are resolved as per agreed customer SLA.
  • Bridge communication gap, anticipate challenges, eliminate hurdles in the process of incident analysis.
  • Participate in technical meetings with other senior engineers and offer solutions.
  • Participate and lead customer care meetings with Care Program Manager.

Your skills and experience

  • Have a BSc in Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent degree
  • Have at least 5+ years of experience in each of IMS and SDM domain
  • Have strong technical knowledge of at least one IMS network element as Nokia SBC, Nokia TAS or Nokia CFX-5000
  • Experience with Cloud and/or virtualization technologies such as OpenStack, VMware or KVM
  • Want to contribute to high edge technology, you are innovative and eager to learn state-of-the-art technologies
  • Are an analytical thinker with problem-solving abilities and make it happen attitude.
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Are self-motivated and able to work independently by setting priorities in a geographically distributed team.
  • Enjoy working in an inclusive environment, which appreciates diversity and embraces high ethical standards
  • Know-how on TCP/IP networking

We will also appreciate if you have: 

  • Experience with Cloud Native technologies, Containers, Microservices and Kubernetes
