Job Description


Type of Employment: Full-Time
Location: Addis Ababa
Reports to: Head of Business Development

Purpose of the Position
The Business Development Associate will play a critical role in expanding Dodai’s corporate client base and ensuring the satisfaction and retention of existing corporate accounts. This position requires a proactive approach to understanding customer needs, solving problems, and building strategic partnerships to enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Corporate Sales:
    • Identify and pursue new Corporate sales opportunities by understanding the needs and document requirements and presenting Dodai’s electric motorbikes as the optimal solution.
    • Build strong relationships with procurement teams to drive sales growth.
  • Corporate Lead Management:
    • Effectively manage and prioritize Corporate sales leads to maximize conversion rates and sales opportunities.
    • Track and analyze Corporates’ progress through the Corporate pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and engagement.
  • Account Management:
    • Manage and nurture relationships with existing Corporate clients, ensuring their needs are met and any issues are addressed proactively.
    • Provide solutions such as training, spare parts, and customer surveys to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Partnership Development:
    • Support in establishing partnerships with banks, microfinance institutions, and GPS providers to facilitate financing options and help corporate clients obtain necessary resources like number plates.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement solutions that meet corporate client needs.
  • Internal Collaboration:
    • Suggest improvements and options for Corporate customers internally to ensure Dodai provides the best possible service and offerings.
    • Work closely with the Head of Business Development to align strategies and improve customer offerings.
  • Corporate Process and CRM Management:
    • Develop and optimize efficient sales processes for Corporate accounts.
    • Implement and manage CRM/Trello systems to track customer interactions, sales activities, and client satisfaction metrics.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, sales and marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales role, with 1 year in a supervisor role with a proven track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience supporting and working with high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Google work space and customer service software (e.g., Trello, odoo) a must.
  • Fluency in English and Amharic (highly preferred).
