Job Description


Job summary:

The Branch Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and controlling project area staff for the effective and efficient utilization of human, financial, and physical resources of the branch in order to bring the desired changes.

The incumbent:

  • Organizes and controls project area workforce to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained to meet all performance targets and that they carry out their responsibilities to the required level and acceptable quality standards.
  • Engages in fund raising activities at own operation site or closely works with head quarter fund raising team as found necessary.
  • Liaisons with government structure in the area, donors, target communities and coordinates programs implemented in the areas.
  • Develops all necessary procedures and processes to ensure that the staff operates efficiently and effectively and achieve all project objectives.
  • Monitors the performance of staff and takes remedial action where necessary to ensure that performance targets are met.
  • Monitors and controls the budget of the branch office to ensure that all financial targets are met and that all necessary financial controls are in place to comply with organizational, donors’ and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key beneficiaries and other relevant bodies to ensure that the organization’s maximum performance potential is realized in the area.
  • Monitors the performance of staff on a day-to-day basis in line with set standards, takes corrective actions for any kinds of identified gaps.
  • Reports performance outcomes of his/her area to the top management of the Head Office regularly.
  • Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor as desired.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Qualification and Experience: BSc/BA/MSC/MD/MPH/PhD in Public Health, Nursing, Medicine, Social Works or related fields of study with respective minimum experience of 12/8/4 years out of which 4 years in supervisory positions.

  • Sympathy with the aims and objectives of OSSHD
  • Commitment to humanitarian principles and action
  • Commitment to realize the rights of targeted communities to access essential services at any point in time Competence in MS Office (Word Processing, Power Point,
  • Spreadsheet, and Access) skills are essential requirements.
