Job Description


The Save the Children Fund, commonly known as Save the Children, is an international non-governmental organisation that promotes children’s rights, provides relief and helps support children in developing countries

ROLE PURPOSE: –

The HR Assistant will be responsible in assisting in the recruitment and selection processes, filing proper documentation and; update and insert HR data in the data base, follow up on the renewal of contract, follow up ER administrator, responsible and insure the newly hired staff document send it to CO on time and follow up pension with Government.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: HR Coordinator

Job specific roles and responsibilities

Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
Assist in overall staffing and selection process in order to ensure a timely recruitment by contacting candidates, preparing contracts etc,

Facilitates the selection process in scheduling written test and interview in consultation with the

HRDC and hiring managers;

  • Documentation all recruitment documents in his/her personnel files.
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, leaves, new contracts etc.)
  • Support in the Following up renewal of contracts staffs in the FO.
  • Assist in registering new employees on the database /HRIS.
  • Closely assist HR coordinator in monitoring the status of Timesheet daily, weekly and monthly of The staff.
  • Support the FO in the implementation of HR function like D2P, mandatory training etc.
  • Assist in Following up the Annual leave balance of the staffs to utilize as per the plan.
  • Update staff data/personal file and collect required information;
  • Make sure that in sending employees personal file/document to CO on time.
  • Follow up of pension updates with the responsible office with the guidance of the supervisor.
  • Assist HR coordinator for conducting new staff orientation training;
  • File education reimbursement & medical claim documents & consultancy documents;
  • Assists the staffs in providing the necessary information and service;
  • Perform other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES

Academic qualification : BA or Diploma in Business Management; Public Administration or related social sciense fields from recognized college/Univesity.

Work experience : One years of experience for BA holders or Two years of experience for diploma holders in office management.

Other Requirements

  • Good computer skill and use in software like Microsoft word, Excel, access etc
  • Good command in written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to work under pressure and extra hours
