Job Description


The Ethiopian Business Advisory Service Providers Association (EBASPA) is a newly established association registered with FDRE Authority for Civil Society Organization and accorded legal personality with Registry Number 6441 on 22 September 2022 as a Local Organization in accordance with the Civil Society Organization Proclamation No. 1113/2019. Whilst it mission is to empower and support business service providers in Ethiopia by creating a better regulatory framework and providing services that improve consultants’ visibility, professional status, and capacity, its objectives are to:

increase membership base through marketing, outreach, and networking,
advocate for the interests of members and represent their needs to policymakers and stakeholders and provide professional and business development opportunities and other services.
EBASPA doesn’t yet have its financial system established as a new organization. Hence, the incumbent finance and admin officer is expected to develop the financial system first.

Regular responsibilities

  • Prepare an annual budget plan in collaboration with the OD officer and get the approval of the EC.
  • Make sure that all financial records for management control as well as regulatory compliance are fulfilled.
  • Control the financial transactions of EBASPA as per financial policy and keep time records.
  • Make sure that a backup of the financial records is kept and weekly updated.
  • Maintain monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports of financial position and present it to the EC.
  • Conduct a regular reporting of financials to the revenue authorities.
  • Declare and settle any tax due for that specific period.
  • Ensure that annual external audits are done and documented for compliance as well as partners consumption.

Job Requirements

  • At least BA in o accounting or finance related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting and finance related responsibilities out of which a minimum of two years in none-for-profit service giving organizations.
  • Computer literacy and working experience on computer-based recording and reporting systems.
  • English proficiency B2 level.
