The Job

As the Accountant, you will mainly be responsible for the operational execution of financial functions from journal entries to statutory audits and in supporting relevant stakeholders with budgeting, reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly submissions and payments of personal income tax, withholding taxes, pensions and provident fund to the local government
  • Respond to queries of head office, donors, finance department timely, and consult on any financial matters
  • Prepare and maintain all hard copy documentation, including payment vouchers and receipts
  • Prepare and send bank transfer letters for approval of signatories to the bank and collect the payment advice from the bank
  • Respond to queries from the local team, donors, finance department, and consult the same on any financial matters
  • Ensuring compliance with the accounting laws and Triggerise’s regulations

About You

  • Strong knowledge of local accounting standards and statutory requirements
  • Great with numbers and an eye for detail
  • Effective communication skills
  • Team player who works well with people from different cultural backgrounds

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Excellent English skills
  • Experience in CHSA reporting
  • Experience using accounting systems such as Netsuite
  • Excellent analytical skills in excel

At Triggerise we believe in being open, also when it comes to salaries. In Ethiopia, the salary bracket for this position is €771 – €1 156 gross per month. We will offer you a salary in this bracket depending on your level of experience and how it relates to your future colleagues.
