Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage our financial activities and support our warehouse operations. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. In addition, the Accountant will work closely with our warehouse team to track inventory, monitor stock levels, and optimize warehouse processes. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with accounting expertise and a passion for the coffee industry to make a significant impact on our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide insights into business performance and trends.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to manage procurement processes and optimize inventory levels.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Support the preparation of financial forecasts, variance analysis, and other ad-hoc reporting as needed.
  • Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in accounting and warehouse operations.
  • Provide guidance and support to other team members on financial and inventory-related matters.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with experience in inventory management or warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the coffee industry or similar agricultural commodities is a plus.
