ARCON Design Build PLC is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Soil & Construction Material Laboratory Team Leader to oversee laboratory operations and ensure accurate testing of soils and construction materials. The role focuses on quality control, standards compliance, team supervision, and providing reliable technical reports to support engineering and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise laboratory staff in daily testing activities.
• Oversee testing of soil, concrete, aggregates, and other construction materials.
• Ensure compliance with national and international laboratory testing standards.
• Review and validate laboratory test results and reports.
• Implement quality assurance procedures and maintain equipment calibration.
• Coordinate geotechnical investigation sampling and analysis.
• Manage laboratory resources and ensure safe working practices.
• Provide technical guidance and training to laboratory technicians.
• Prepare and submit periodic performance and quality reports.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Engineering, or related field.
• Certification in laboratory testing or quality management is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 10/12 years of progressive laboratory testing experience.
• At least 2/3 years experience in a leadership role.
• Experience in construction material and geotechnical testing is required.

Knowledge

• Strong understanding of soil mechanics, construction materials, and testing standards.
• Knowledge of geotechnical investigation methods.

Skills

• Leadership and laboratory management abilities.
• Strong report writing and quality assurance skills.
• Equipment management, communication, and proficiency in MS Office and lab software.
