Job Title: General Service Team Leader
Terms of Employment: Full-time Employee
Department: Human Resource Department
Location: Factory
Reports To: Head of Human Resource Department

Required Equipment and Materials:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Safety glasses, Gloves, Face masks, Steel-toed boots
Office Equipment: Desk & Chair, Computer & Printer, Filing Cabinets, Telephone & Headset

A. Key Roles & Responsibilities

1) Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead, manage, and motivate general service staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Allocate tasks, set clear objectives, and monitor performance.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff for problem-solving and performance improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and set professional development goals; address performance issues proactively.

2) Facility Management & Maintenance

  • Ensure factory infrastructure (electrical, plumbing, machinery, HVAC, etc.) is maintained through inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and materials; ensure calibration and repair when needed.
  • Optimize space utilization in production floors, storage, and offices; maintain cleanliness and organization.

3) Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards, proper sanitation, waste disposal, and fire safety.
  • Manage emergency preparedness including drills and staff training.
  • Monitor compliance with environmental and safety regulations; manage permits, certifications, and audits.

4) Resource Management

  • Oversee procurement and management of tools, materials, and resources.
  • Ensure proper usage, maintenance, and availability of equipment and supplies.

5) Budget & Resource Management

  • Prepare and manage the budget for general services; monitor expenses and ensure cost control.
  • Evaluate cost-effectiveness of internal vs outsourced services; identify cost-saving measures.

6) Communication & Reporting

  • Ensure effective communication between service staff, production teams, and management.
  • Maintain accurate records on maintenance schedules, inventories, procurement, and service requests.
  • Generate regular reports and gather feedback to improve service operations.

7) Other Duties

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the company.
About You

B. Job Specification

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Facility Management; OR
  • Diploma/Level 4 in a related field with relevant experience.

Leadership & Management:

  • Team leadership, performance management, decision-making, and problem-solving.

Communication Skills:

  • Clear communication with departments and staff; ability to give clear instructions.

Organizational Skills:

  • Time management, multitasking, resource tracking, and performance monitoring.

Problem Solving:

  • Ability to identify issues and implement solutions quickly.

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Experience managing budgets and optimizing resources.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with facility management tools/software.
  • Basic understanding of maintenance and cleaning services.

Health & Safety Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to enforce them.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Ability to build relationships, resolve conflicts, and work with vendors and colleagues.

Working Environment

  • Office-level working environment (inside factory setting).

Work Experience

  • 4–5 years of experience in operations management, facility management, or general services (preferably in manufacturing).
  • Experience in housekeeping, transportation, maintenance, and procurement is beneficial.
  • Experience in motivating teams and creating a productive workplace.
  • Exposure to factory operations, production lines, and machinery is preferred.
