Kegna Beverages Share Company is the company which is under formation and working hard to engross in the Beverage Industry of Ethiopia that is incredibly untapped yet and fast growing.

The Company, officially endorsed on 04 March 2017 by the recommendation and promoter Committee selection of the Public Private Partnership Council of the Oromia Regional State. The promoter committee has been in contact since then frequently on the formal establishment of Kegna Beverages and on fulfilling local legal requirements of company formation, finalizing multiple discipline viability tests and studies and ground preparation for the official launching and foreign direct investment search, and approaches.

Kegna Beverages Share Company officially launched on 01 April 2017 at the Oromo Cultural Center at the Presence of higher Oromia Regional State Officials, Bank Representatives, Local Investors, invited Foreign Investors, Invited guests and Medias. The multiple studies which are mostly finalized as of now (Feasibility Study, Civil and Construction works assessment, Geotechnical, hydrology and topography analysis) on the primarily selected site of the production are finalized and ready to show the picture of the investment as of now.

Role Description

Transport managers are responsible for directing, coordinating, planning and overseeing tasks and operations within an organization involving transportation activities. He /She is responsible to ensure the legal requirements for road haulage are met.

Reports To:

warehouse and Transportation Manager

Responsibilities

1. Planning and supervising the shipments from production to the end-user
2. Generate transportations plans meeting customer service requirements at lowest cost.
3. Scheduling daily and weekly routes
4. Ensure the planned shipments are realistic and meet transportation standards and Kegna sustainability targets.
5. Process large amounts of data in a timely and accurate way for creating optimal plans.
6. Take decisions balancing speed with quality in delivering the transportation plan.
7. Tracking orders using functional systems (e.g. barcodes and tracking software)
8. Coordinate with Warehouse Workersto ensure proper storage and distribution of products
9. Ensure shipping documents are properly filed
10. Ensure creation of a detailed transportation plan under time limitations, which meets customer requirements and lowest cost.
11. Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and equipment
12. Research and suggest cost-effective shipping methods
13. Conduct regular safety audits on equipment
14. Organize training sessions for employees (e.g. proper use of machines and handling of fragile material)
15. Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders
16. Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping legislation
17. Stay up-to-date with safety regulations
18. Making sure vehicles are properly maintained
19. Making sure that vehicles are inspected
20. Ensuring that all drivers and operators have the correct, up to date qualifications
21. Setting a system that deducing the risk of vehicle overloading
22. Maintaining and completing accurate transport related records
23. Keeping schedules and organizing transport staffs
24. Prioritize shipments based on availability of trucks, drivers, cost and customer requirements.
25. Foresee potential risks in the plan and define contingency plans.
26. Monitor the impact of transportation plans on main transportation cost drivers (fuel, personnel, truck cost).
27. Ensure ways to improve loading and routing of the trucks
28. Maintaining awareness and knowledge of the condition and location of fleet vehicles.

Education

MA/MSC/BSC /BA/ in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics/ Transportation/Property Management or related fields

Experience

6/8years of relevant experience

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Transportation Manager, Shipping Manager or similar role
• Solid knowledge of supply chain management
• Experience preparing and tracking orders
• Familiarity with logistics software, like Freight view
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to supervise and train staff
• Problem-solving abilities
