Job Description


About the Job
  • Plans, organizes and co-ordinates project activities at the Area Office level on SRH rights and services based on the commitment of FGAE to its donor, to ensure that pre-determined results and targets are met;
  • Ensures that identified health facilities where WISH2 services are to be initiated have gone through facility gaps assessments and signed partnership agreements to be able to be supported through the WISH2 project;
  • Ensures the establishment of effective relationships with implementing partners of the WISH2 project including private and Public health facilities;
  • Follows up the timely training of providers of clustered health facilities on FP and other SRH areas and that services are initiated in the health facilities as soon as providers have got the required training;
  • Oversees the formal establishment of cluster management committees in each of the clusters in his/her area office in line with the guidelines and ensures that the committees are actively functioning;
  • Follows up the implementation of QOC assessments, reporting of adverse events and implementation of action plans developed based on the finding of assessments and reported adverse events in  line with QoC guidelines and tools;
  • Participates in the Area Office Quality of Care Committee as a member of the committee;
  • Rolls out the implementation of SBCC interventions per the manual and plans so that demand for FP and other SRH services are generated and women have got required support from their communities in accessing planned services;
  • Ensures that services provided by clustered facilities are properly registered, service reports are timely collected from health facilities, verified and inputted in to the computer system and reported in line with the set standards;
  • Proposes Area office and cluster level innovative interventions to better reach targeted project beneficiaries which mainly includes the poor, youth and marginalized communities with SRH services;
  • Plans, reviews, documents best practices and/lessons learned from WISH2 interventions from his/her Area Office to Head office for dissemination of best practices to other Area Offices or abroad as global goods;
  • Works closely with the Area Manager in the conduct of evidence-based advocacy to advance WISH2 SRH agenda at the Regional, Zonal and Woreda levels;
  • Works closely and receives guidance from WISH2 Project Manager and HO technical staff including MEL Manager, Safeguarding and Security Manager and Finance manager to effectively execute planned activities;
  • Provides technical oversight to the management of WISH2 project at the Area Office level for effectiveness, positive outcome and impact;
  • Represents the Area Office in activities to be undertaken in partnership with other partners (consortium, CSOs, government partners), contributing to discussions and SRH agenda setting of WISH2 project;
  • Monitors effective implementation of project activities, documents any learnings from implementation, and, initiates actions and/or make appropriate recommendations to Area office and HO level management for appropriate actions;
  • Prepares and submits monthly and quarterly AO project performance reports in line with donors’ requirements;
  • Oversees the timely supply of FP commodity supplies and required medical equipment to clustered facilities to ensure uninterrupted service delivery by the facilities;
  • Provides technical support and mentoring to his supervisees and clustered facilities under his area office;
  • Ensures that planned activities and their implementation are supported with proper documentation;
  • Oversees to ensure that project activity implementation is in line with the budget earmarked for the activities and within the planning period;

Performs similar other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by his immediate supervisor and functional manager following the active policies, guidelines and manuals in use.

About You
  • 6 Years for MPH/MA/MSc after graduating, shall possess an Extensive experiences in managing project, report writing, service data analysis, same or similar position in the NGO sector or donor funded project
