Ka disco Paint and Adhesive Industry S.. previously known as Kadisco Chemical Industry PLC is a privately owned company located in Addis Ababa in the Akaki Kality Industrial Zone area. Kadisco is a company that traces its origins back from a small automotive parts dealership that was operating in one of the busy streets of Addis Ababa back in late 60’s. During the period until 1975 it had the opportunity to act as the sole distributor for Sadoline Paints. In 1979 it was registered as the sole company to manufacture adhesives and glue. By stages, the company developed into a diversified paint manufacturer.

In February 2015, Asian Paints Ltd and Kadisco Paint and Adhesive Industry SC formed a joint venture for business in Ethiopia and came to be known as Kadisco Asian paints. Asian Paints is India’s leading paint company and Asia’s second largest, with a group turnover of USD 2.7 billion. The group has an enviable reputation in the corporate world for professionalism, fast track growth, and building shareholder equity. Asian Paints operates in 19 countries and has 26 paint manufacturing facilities in the world servicing consumers in over 65 countries.

Today the company produces a full range of paints for the construction, industrial and automotive sectors. It also produces wood and concrete lacquers as well as adhesives for the wood and leather industry.

Position Summary 

The Sales Executive is a key role responsible for establishing and nurturing new relationships while maintaining strong customer relations to drive repeat business. By leveraging their expertise, the Sales Executive plays a crucial role in achieving sales targets and contributing to the growth and success of the organization.

About You

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for meeting and surpassing sales targets set by the company.
  • Implement sales strategies and tactics to maximize sales performance.
  • Execute the sales plan effectively, ensuring consistent progress towards sales objectives.
  • Cover designated market segments and meet assigned sales quotas.
  • Understand the business environment and gather relevant marketing information to contribute to strategic planning efforts.
  • Stay informed about sales activities in the assigned territory.
  • Provide feedback on competitor activities and industry changes.
  • Collaborate with designated channel partners and agents, offering daily assistance to help them meet their sales targets.
  • Manage relationships with branded stores and mom-and-pop retailers.
  • Ensure brand visibility and the availability of necessary funds for seamless transactions.
  • Identify and develop sustainable relationships with new channel partners within the assigned territory.
  • Foster strong partnerships and facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and analyze dealership practices, ensuring optimal inventory planning for the company’s products.
  • Supervise direct sales agents and maintain oversight of their activities.
  • Assist in preparing background sales call information, research, proposals/contracts, and summaries of sales activities.
  • Follow up on sales calls and maintain accurate records of customer interactions.
  • Identify potential business opportunities and generate leads.
  • Initiate contact with leads and provide necessary support throughout the sales process.
  • Support supervisors in identifying and developing new market opportunities within the designated territory.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of sales leads and distribute them to team members as appropriate.
  • Identify prospects and ensure timely and effective follow-up to generate business opportunities.
  • Arrange meetings with potential customers, addressing objections to secure their commitment.

 

Qualification and Experience Requirements                 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field from a recognized university.
  • 1-3 years of experience in building and related materials sales.
  • Prior experience in marketing and selling within the FMCG sector is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in trade sales activations, including planning and executing sales initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing channel partners and fostering strong relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales and distribution principles, including market trends and consumer behavior.
