Job Description


As a Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with tax laws and regulations while also identifying opportunities for tax savings and optimization. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a crucial role in safeguarding the company’s financial health and reputation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive tax compliance strategies to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns. Establish internal controls and procedures to monitor tax obligations and deadlines.
  • Calculate and file various taxes, including income tax, VAT, withhold tax, dividend tax and other applicable levies, in a timely and accurate manner. Verify the accuracy of tax calculations and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Conduct in-depth tax research and analysis to identify potential tax savings opportunities. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to take advantage of new provisions and incentives.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations on a continuous basis and assess their impact on the company’s tax position. Provide timely advice and recommendations to management on necessary adjustments and compliance measures.
  • Prepare detailed tax-related documentation and reports, including tax returns, tax schedules, and supporting worksheets. Ensure that all documentation is accurate, complete, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure proper tax reporting and compliance. Provide necessary information and support during tax audits and inquiries.
  • Assist the management team in making informed decisions regarding tax planning and strategy. Provide tax implications and analysis for business transactions, investments, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of tax-efficient business structures and transactions. Provide input on the tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Train and educate employees on tax compliance requirements and best practices. Promote a culture of tax awareness and compliance within the organization.
  • Stay abreast of emerging tax trends and issues through continuous learning and professional development. Attend tax seminars, conferences, and training programs to enhance your knowledge and skills.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree and above in taxation or accounting. A master’s degree in taxation or a related field is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including local, state, and federal tax codes. Knowledge of international tax laws is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.

Familiarity with tax software and tools for tax preparation and analysis
