Company Information

 

Kimiya Telecom company is a Safaricom Ethiopia telecommunication distributor. Established in late 2022 Kimiya Telecom Company has become one of the biggest Safaricom distributors in Somali region of Ethiopia. It has its head  Quarters in Jijiga city. The company is currently expanding its service to the rest of Somali region and recently opened new shops in Kebribayah, Hartashek, Ararso, Dhagahbur and Birqod.

Duties.

  • Implement the overall strategy of the company
  • Overlooking all business operations in the shop assigned.
  • Undertake Marketing and sales distribution
  • Staff management/Supervision
  • Promotion, development and monitoring the business
  • Management of relations and interactions with all company agents, micro customers, other customer and stakeholders.
  • Audit & Controls
  • Any other duties as delegated by the management.
Key Responsibilities % of Time Performance Measurement Criteria to Meet Objectives
Sales Targets

Support achievement of set sales targets i.e. daily, weekly, quarterly and annually as given by the Head Quarter (HQ) Office.

 

Ensure that all sales staffs are aware of their targets by number, time, route and segments

50 Pushing of the staff under you to collectively achieve targets as a cluster and as a region wise.

 

Ensuring they have stocks, floats and all support needed to optimally push sales.

 

Check shop daily cash flows and banking for all branches in coordination with the Finance head.

 

Development/Execution of sales programs 

Prepare and plan sales and promotion programs aimed at expansion of customer base, share growth e.g. Sales promotions, simcard sales, airtime and M-pesa float sales and also promoting digital distribution etc in the cluster of responsibility.`

Perform market analysis for existing market and for new potential penetration in the region

10 Co-ordinate with the Head Quarter (HQ) Office manager and plan on sales in your area.

This should be documented and approved by the management.

Effective execution of sales programs as per targets set in the plan (number of  activation and sales)

Implemented with documented proof of results.

Market share and growth

Customer Retention and Acquisition

Ensure that we keep and get new customers in the cluster as well as at regional level.

10 Have an updated sub dealer, agents and micro customer list with contacts and physical location.

Identify our loyal customers and come up with different ways of appreciation.

 

Staff management/supervision.

To effectively manage staff through effective monitoring of performance and advising the HR Department on the same.

Undertake market visit and planned coaching for BA’s at least two times a week

Avail her/him self on morning meetings with DSP, DSA &  BA’s and ensure all parties attend the meeting

Follow up tasks raised in morning meetings and flag issues when required

5 Staff attendance, do spontaneous roll calls on phone.

Ensure that all our staff uphold our high customer service level and are well trained.

Quarterly Staff appraisals (forms to be provided by HR department)

Spot checks on shop closing and opening time.

Shop Operations

To ensure that all things are in place in the outlet to facilitate smooth operation.

The agents, DSA,  and BA targets are known and visible  on Distributor performance board

The target is split per SKU, per day, per route, and per DSA/BA.

Visual display/Book of performance updated every day before the morning meeting starts and ensure DSA, DSP & BA daily sales reports and route plans are reviewed by the TDR’s.

 

5 Checking if all items/documents needed in the shop are available e.g. files, requisition notes, simcard and airtime stocks, M-pesa floats, EKYC devices and EVD print e.t.c.
Audit

To comply and conform for any audit queries and process as directed from the business

 

20 Send daily shop operation report to Head Quarter (HQ) Office manager

 

Duty Station: Jigjiga, Somali region

Duration: one year with possibility of extension.

About You

Job Requirements

 

Qualification: – Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field.

 

Experience: – Minimum 4 years of work experience as a salesperson or customer service or anything related to Marketing management.

 

Required Skills: – 

  • Ability to engage and influence at all levels of management, internally and externally.
  • Influencing, negotiating, communication and critical reasoning skills.
  • Excellent organizational, and time management skills.
  • Capable of working responsibly and as a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a demanding and fast-growing industry.
  • Knowledge of the local language is desirable
