Job Description


The Store supervisor at East Africa National Distribution SC. manage all aspects of inventory control and dispatch operations within the store. This role is vital for ensuring that stock levels are maintained, products are accurately prepared for dispatch, and deliveries are made in a timely manner. The Supervisor will lead the store team, coordinate logistics, and uphold safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
    • Oversee the receiving, storage, and organization of inventory within the store.
    • Conduct regular stock audits to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure optimal stock levels.
    • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize loss and improve efficiency.
  • Dispatch Operations:
    • Manage the dispatch process, including order picking, packing, and loading for delivery.
    • Ensure all outgoing shipments are accurately documented and meet quality standards.
    • Coordinate with logistics providers to schedule and optimize deliveries, ensuring timely service.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and train store staff in best practices for inventory management and dispatch operations.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, setting clear performance expectations.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Streamline store and dispatch processes to enhance efficiency and reduce delays.
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Safety Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to safety protocols in both inventory management and dispatch operations.
    • Conduct regular safety training sessions and audits to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Customer Communication:
    • Liaise with customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any issues that arise.
    • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience throughout the order fulfillment process.

About You

  • bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in inventory management and dispatch operations; supervisory in cement industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
