The Clinical pharmacist is responsible for overseeing the distribution of medications to people with various physical or mental health conditions. Their duties include communicating with local physicians to determine the type of medication and dosage for a customer, taking inventory of pharmaceutical drugs to reorder them based on local demand and interacting with pharmacy customers to give them their prescriptions and answer medication

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients
• Evaluating and interpreting prescriptions to ensure that medications and doses are appropriate for the patient’s condition and overall health
• Providing medication-related counseling and education to patients and their families
• Dispense prescribed medications
• Monitor patient drug therapies
• Conduct clinical medication reviews
• Consult with physicians on medication use and guidelines
• Maintain patient medical records
• Educate patients about medication use and potential side effects
• Stay current with latest pharmaceutical trends and advancements
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Participating in patient care rounds and making recommendations for changes in therapy based on the patient’s status

About You

Qualifications

• BSC in Pharmacy / Clinical Pharmacy
• Current, active pharmacy license
• 3- 4 Years Experience as a clinical pharmacist preferred
• Knowledge of pharmacological protocols and strong clinical acumen
• Excellent communication and counseling skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety
• Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and software
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with healthcare teams
