Job Description


Established in 1947, AACCSA is a voluntary, non-governmental, business membership organization with more than 15,000 member companies. The chamber serves as a credible voice of business and advocates for the creation of a conducive business environment. It also promotes trade and industry, disseminating business information, consulting government and members on economic development and business issues, establishing friendly relationship with similar chambers in other countries, and exchanging information as well as engaging in arbitration in times of disputes among businesses.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Procurement and Property Management Department Manager, the Senior Procurement Specialist plans, organizes, coordinates and controls the procurement activities of AACCSA and ensures that the required support/services are provided to all Offices, Departments and Services.

Job Requirement

Qualification Requirement:

Education: BA/MA degree in Purchasing and supplies Management, Business Management, Marketing Management or related field of study from a recognized Higher Learning Institutions

Work Experience: Six years of experience for BA and 4 years of experience for MA holders in similar positions

TECHICAL AND OTHER SKILLS

  • Knowledge of international and national procurement policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Excellent writing skill in Amharic and English
  • Good communication skill
  • Priority setting and organizing skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Supplier relations management skills
  • Orientation to quality
  • Loyalty

Employment Type:     One Year Contract (With Possible Extension)
