Job Description


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work out all duty assignments related to the emergency program,
  • Lead and execute emergency interventions in the selected targets in full and timely manner,
  • Build a functional relationship with counterparts (implementing partners, government, community),
  • Work closely with the project team and government counterparts to achieve the project objectives.
  • Carry out participatory field work sessions (field meetings) in order to establish and develop community level ownership for the emergency activities,
  • Implement the good practices that exist in the community to make the intervention successful,
  • Prepare monthly reports and update daily scenarios on the ground,
  • Read and be fully familiar with the safeguarding policy and code of conduct.
  • Make sure every activities of the program are in line with universally accepted safeguarding principles and SOSSE’s safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate behaviors that promote a safe culture.
  • Carry out other activities assigned by the project team when ever needed.

Qualifications and Skills:        

BSc/BA Degree in Social Science (Sociology & Social Administration), Psychology, Social Work, Rural Development, or related fields of studies with minimum of 3 years prior work experience providing gender sensitive and child-friendly services.

Salary & Benefits:  As per SEED salary scale policy.

NB*:  Knowledge of local languages –local language (Afaan Oromo) is required for the positions.

for 6(six) months

Duty Base: Amuru & Jarte Jardega Districts (one officer in each district)
