Job Description


Job Summary:

The Junior Linkage Area Manager leads the area Linkage Team and oversees implementation of the linkage of digitized Iddirs to insurance products using the Jamii.one Mobile application and Jamii.one Insight in his/her assigned area and towns. He/she provides support to the Regional Iddir Council Office in achieving the linkage of digitized Iddirs. He/she will work extensively with the Regional and Town Iddir Council and with other partners. He/she will be required to travel extensively in assigned area.

Job Requirement

Qualifications:

  • MA. Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in sales rollout overall management or similar activity. Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of experience would be considered.

Competencies:

  • Must have strong writing and communication skills both in Amharic and English.  Knowledge of local languages of the operating region is required.
  • Must have experience in managing projects, including planning and reporting.
  • Skills and experience in computer applications and utilization is mandatory.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision, self-motivated and have strong interpersonal skills, intrapersonal skill and skills to promote teamwork.
  • Proficient in product knowledge and presenting solutions to Iddirs
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Must be able to actively listen and observe users’ need when using digital platforms and effectively report such observations.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and teach patiently, particularly adept at guiding learners with no prior experience in digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with sales techniques and customer relationship management
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to identify trends of changing customer preferences
  • Must demonstrate strong interest and commitment to community-based group such as Iddirs. Knowledge of an Iddir or membership in an Iddir is an added advantage.
  • Must have demonstrable personal integrity and honesty and must have pleasant personality.
  • Must be willing to travel frequently to project activity Woredas and Kebeles as per need.
  • Must be willing to use the weekend dates.
