Berhan Bank S.C was formed in accordance with Article 304 of the Commercial Code of Ethiopia with the objective of operating in the banking industry. This objective has been ensured in Article 3 of the Memorandum of Association of the Company. The Bank was registered and licensed by the National Bank of Ethiopia on 27th June, 2009 with an authorized capital of Birr 300 million and subscribed capital of Birr 154.7 Million divided into shares of 1000 Birr par value each.

Summary

An Application Support Officer in banking is responsible for providing high level technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users of various banking applications. The officer will work closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to ensure that banking applications are functioning properly and to help identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to end-users of banking applications
• Respond to and resolve support requests from internal and external customers
• Troubleshoot technical issues and identify root causes
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams or vendors for resolution
• Monitor system performance and identify potential issues before they become problems
• Test software upgrades and patches before they are released to users
• Create and maintain technical documentation for supported applications
• Participate in software development projects and testing efforts
• Work with project managers and business analysts to gather requirements for new applications and enhancements
• Collaborate with developers to ensure that applications are designed and implemented to meet business needs
• Perform other related duties given by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Education: BSC in  IT,  Computer Science,  Software Engineering,   Information Management System or related

Experience :5 Years Experience as Application Support Officer or Equivalent
