Job Description


Responsibilities

  • Lead, coordinate and monitor livelihood programs implemented in Gumer and D/Sodo districts of Guraghe Zone
  • Guide the livelihood program beneficiary’s identification interventions in accordance with Glimmer and GDCA guidelines.
  • Responsible to documentation and coordination of LH programme design.
  • Implement LH activities as per the plan within the agreed timetable. Identify gaps in the implementation and propose possible solutions to fill the gaps.
  • Responsible to play lead role to establish/strengthen RUSACCO in all project kebeles, organize and facilitate training/ workshops for relevant target groups including beneficiaries committees and other community members.
  • Facilitate VC commodity beneficiaries’ linkages to input supplies, service providers including financial services, and markets linkages.
  • Facilitate pertinent agriculture extension activities and farmer’s asset building efforts to enhance the returns on asset in collaboration with the community, government, and other responsible bodies.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum MSc Degree in Livelihood, Agricultural Economics, Economics,  Cooperatives Development, rural Development & related fields with 5 years’ experience as project officer/coordinator
  • NGO experience is advantageous
  • Good communication (oral and written) skills in English
  • knowledge of Guragigna is advantageous
