Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in the preparation of bottom up plans
• He/she prepares a detail work plan and provides technical support to the beneficiaries and the project foremen in the field of crop production of agronomic, horticultural and vegetable crops, crop protection, IGA, animal nutrition, and animal husbandry and veterinary activities.
• Ensures the appropriateness/effectiveness of directives, guidelines and planned activities and that the various interventions in his/her field of operation have positive impact.
• Monitors the timely execution of activities and the quality and quantity of work done,
• Prepares monthly, quarterly, biannual & annual reports concerning agricultural activities in related to agriculture and trains project target farmers.
• Prepares training documents & training materials and conducts market survey, crop assessment and follow up the overall crop production status, contact with the woreda early warning committee and reports whenever drought occurs.
• Facilitates feedback from the beneficiaries to enhance teaching and learning process among all actors,

Job Requirement

Qualifications & Experience

• B.Sc/M.Sc degree in Agriculture, Plant science, Rural development
• 4 years of relevant work experience for B.Sc/BA and 2 years for M.Sc/MA holders
• Experience in NGO is a plus.

Required Skills:

• Well organized and ability to act in a professional and ethical manner.
• Good knowledge of field level realities of development work
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders for successful implementation of the project activities
• Able to operate basic computer skills, excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to independently organize work, prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
